HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE 2011 MIGHTY KIDS TRIATHLON?
Registration consists of 3 steps:
- Join USA Triathlon (USAT). See USAT MEMBERSHIP here for more information.
- Complete the 2011 Mighty Kids Triathlon Entry Form.
- Read and sign the USAT waiver.
REGISTER ONLINE at ACTIVE.COM.
By registering on Active.com you can complete all 3 registration steps. Important: Be sure to bring your USAT membership card when you pick up your packet!!!
Online Registration will close at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
REGISTER BY MAIL:
- Join USAT and get a USAT number.
- Complete the 2011 Mighty Kids Triathlon Entry Form.
- Read and sign the USAT waiver attached to the 2011 Mighty Kids Triathlon Entry Form.
- Mail the 2011 Mighty Kids Triathlon Entry Form, the signed waiver, and the appropriate entry fee to the address listed on the entry form.
- Mail registrations must be postmarked by Monday, September 12, 2011.
Important: Be sure to bring your USAT membership card when you pick up your packet!!!
REGISTER ON RACE DAY: There will be NO RACEDAY REGISTRATION for the 2011 Mighty Kids Triathlon
Your last chance to register will be in person at the packet pickup session on Saturday, 9/17 from 9-11 a.m at East Lyme High School. Be sure to bring proof of USAT membership or you will be required to purchase a 1-day USAT race license in order to race. However, we urge you to preregister online or by mail for the following reasons:
- Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis and will close when the number of participants reaches 250. The 2010 Mighty Kids Triathlon was SOLD OUT and we were forced to turn people away.
- Registration fees will increase by $5 on Saturday.

HOW MUCH DOES THE MIGHTY KIDS TRIATHLON COST?
The cost of registration is $25 per athlete ($30 if registering after September 5th), plus each competitor must be a USA Triathlon (USAT) member in order to race. The cost of an annual USAT youth (ages 7 to 14) membership is $5.
In addition, all vehicles entering the park will be subject to the Rocky Neck State Park parking fees: $9 for CT residents; $15 for non-CT residents.

*Per USAT, an athete's competition age is how old the athlete will be on December 31, 2011.
**Race distances are subject to changes in order to accomodate the requests of park management.
HOW DO I GET TO THE RACE?
Directions to Rocky Neck State Park: Exit 72 off I-95: Follow the turnpike connector south to Route 156. Turn left and take Route 156 east for 1/4 mile to the park. The park street address is 244 West Main Street (Route 156). Once inside the park, follow the signs to the beach.
All vehicles entering the park will be subject to the Rocky Neck State Park parking fees: $9 for CT residents; $15 for non-CT residents.
